Overview of the Job:
The Apprentice Wrapper Tech is in charge of assembling wrapping machines for the correct range of products being produced, making sure the right code is being run, is in the right place, and is readable, finishing code verification, seal integrity, packaging verification, and lot tracking sheets at the appointed times, and alerting management to any inconsistencies found in checks that do not meet company requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Investigates and resolves mechanical and electrical problems
- Carries out preventative maintenance
- Help as needed with break operators and re-wraps.
- Notifies all changes as they occur and when a shift changes.
- Fills out daily log sheets and gives them to the supervisor at the conclusion of their shift.
- It is essential to ensure that all work activities are executed with utmost attention to food quality standards, safe procedures, adherence to relevant regulatory requirements, and a focus on ongoing process development.
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of every action you take (e.g., PMs, safety, inventory, asset inventory, parts tags, etc.).
- Constantly maintains a clean work area and equipment
- Acknowledges Schedule the hosts for distribution, ingredient and product flow, and efficiency.
- Carry out additional tasks as given
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- It is recommended to have knowledge of commercial bakeries and baking equipment.
- Strong preference given to candidates with prior high-speed packing machine maintenance and troubleshooting expertise.
- Preference for experience producing food
- Capacity to troubleshoot machinery to guarantee maximum effectiveness and product quality
- Efficient Personal Computer Skills – Written and Verbal Communication Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
