Data Center Reclamation Tech
Responsibilities:
- Manage IT hardware inventory (250+ PCs)
- Track and consolidate inventory from external sites
- Supply management and ordering
- Asset management (receive, record, and add to inventory)
- Request queue management (assist customers with device orders)
- Call coordination (review and deploy tickets to technicians)
- Hardware issue research and resolution
- Training and support for new and existing employees
- Tablet hardware return and decommissioning
- Inventory management and organization
- Email support for external techs

Additional Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, repair, and troubleshoot hardware issues on servers, mainframes, network equipment, and tape equipment.
- Maintain high standards in the data center for:
- Consistent installations
- Quality and appearance of cabling and labeling
- Accurate documentation and ticketing
- Compliance with processes and client SLAs
- Conduct regular data center walk-throughs to:
- Identify environmental problems and system errors
- Create incident and change tickets
- Perform repairs or escalate to proper personnel
- Manage OEM vendors for warranty repairs and service calls, ensuring compliance with change management, incident management, and security policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation, inventory sheets, and technical diagrams.
- Install, de-install, modify, and relocate hardware in the data center, meeting schedules and maintaining standards.
- Perform DOD-compliant data wipes on midrange server systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
