Responsibilities:
- Solves issues and offers support to department users on a variety of software programs and hardware devices, including PCs and printers.
- Aids with the regular maintenance and use of systems, as well as the repair of hardware and software.
- Technical support and maintenance help are given to departmental and end users both in-person and over the phone.
- Records the actions taken to address issues with the call tracking system.
- As needed, provide software and hardware to end users.
- As needed, provide a hand with the transportation of gear between sites. accountable for the designated location’s inventory management.
- Keeps up with the most recent advancements and trends in the field of expertise.
- May provide staff members one-on-one or group computer hardware and software training.
- Takes part in initiatives to establish new service and technology directions.
- Adds all user assistance problems to the call monitoring database and, if needed, elevates them to a higher level.
- Carries out various tasks connected to the job as given
Required Knowledge/Background:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, or comparable experience
- Two or more years of experience
- providing IT assistance; familiarity with Windows versions 10 and below; preference for Microsoft 365
- A basic understanding of networking is ideal.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems
- A+ Preferably certified
