Perform packaging, manipulation, repetitive, and other non-discretionary operations, such as taking medications out of stock, counting, pouring, or mixing pharmaceuticals, under outpatient pharmacy tech trainee (Bilingual).
Essential Responsibilities:
Packing, manipulating, repetitive, and other non-discretionary procedures, such as taking medications out of stock, counting, pouring, or combining pharmaceuticals, may be done under the close supervision of a qualified pharmacist.
Putting the item inside a container
Putting the label(s) on the container
Compiling and reassembling
Carries out additional tasks as needed
Extra Conditions:
It is necessary to successfully complete the Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program.
Working familiarity with current medication formulations, dose ranges, and trade name and generic equivalents
Understanding of the rules and legislation at the federal and state levels pertaining to the supply of pharmaceutical services
Capacity to understand and use the computer system and other equipment in the pharmacy
Capacity to read, comprehend, and copy pharmacological information; prolonged standing with frequent bending, crouching, lifting, and reaching; and the ability to move or hoist objects weighing between one and fifty pounds
Shows the information, skills, talents, and attitudes required to provide exceptional and culturally aware service to one another, our members, clients, contracted providers, and partners on a regular basis.
Outstanding writing and verbal communication abilities
Must pass the background check and admission test.
Level I bilingual (English/Spanish) necessary.
