Description of the Role:
A part-time reporter covering artificial intelligence leadership and entrepreneurship is needed by Observer. We are looking for someone who is excited to write and report on the entrepreneurs, scientists, investors, and other professionals in this new field.
The ideal applicant should be well-versed in the most recent advances in artificial intelligence and possess a wide range of industry connections. Additionally, they must to have a fundamental grasp of the business, economics, and computer science domains. This beat will mostly focus on how the powerful AI agents create reality and how their choices affect the world we live in. We’re searching for a reporter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can uncover and propose stories, embrace the details, and have a broad perspective.
We are seeking a reporter who possesses:
- At least two years of experience covering science or business
- A space where lengthy enterprise articles and breaking news items may be written
- The capacity to go to and report on business events
- Acquaintance with data and familiarity with creating custom charts
- A strong desire to consistently locate and provide story ideas – A meticulous attention to detail, high journalistic standards, and the fact-checker’s skeptical heart
Our usual fee for a 600–800 word piece is $200–$300. For features and exclusives, higher prices might be negotiated. Only candidates with a US address are eligible.
