Work Objective:
The product development will be under your direction as the head of engineering. You will be in charge of overseeing the development process, directing our technical strategy, and making sure that projects are completed successfully. Strong technical experience, outstanding leadership abilities, and an enthusiasm for innovation are prerequisites for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Determine and establish the technical course for the next growth stage, ensuring that it is in line with the goals and purpose of the company.
- Gain a thorough grasp of the business’s overarching strategy and use this insight to transform it into a superior offering.
- Oversee a group of gifted engineers and cultivate an environment that values creativity, cooperation, and quality.
- Adopt and uphold best practices for software development, such as deployment plans, testing procedures, and code reviews.
- Make sure our systems are secure, scalable, and dependable by putting strong technical principles and frameworks into place.
- Team members should get technical leadership and mentoring in order to support their professional development.
- Work closely with product management to make sure engineering initiatives are in line with the plan and objectives of the product.
- Control project deliverables, schedules, and resources to guarantee a project’s successful conclusion.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology and trends in the business, and encourage creativity among team members.
Requirements:
- solid background leading senior engineers, ideally as Head of Engineering or a comparable position.
- vast practical experience in software engineering, along with a solid grasp of the technology our team uses. PHP, Laravel, GoLang, JavaScript, and React are all part of our AWS-hosted tech stack. We also use Flutter to create our mobile applications.
- vast knowledge of service-oriented design, cloud computing, advanced human-computer interfaces, and continuous delivery.
- a track record of advancing technological innovation and producing large-scale, meaningful solutions.
- a track record of success in recruiting, coaching, and mentoring engineers to establish and scale high-performing engineering teams. ideally in a fin-tech or startup setting.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, to convert business objectives into technological solutions and meet deadlines for high-quality product delivery.
- Strong communication abilities to explain engineering goals, project progress, and technical ideas to stakeholders who are not technical.
- Possessing strong leadership abilities to encourage and inspire the engineering team, cultivate an innovative and collaborative culture, and produce outcomes.
- outstanding knowledge of agile approaches and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
